Aliya Mustafina, Ksenia Afanasieva and Anna Pavlova went to a charity event

    Aliya Mustafina, Ksenia Afanasieva and Anna Pavlova attended  at the reception of "Friends of professional sport" charity event, organized by the four-time Olympic champion Alexei Nemov. Al the athletes that were present at the event spoke about the charity and shared expectations for the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi.



    Guests of honor at the event were members of the Academy of Laureus: German tennis player Boris Becker, a New Zealand rugby player Sean Fitzpatrick, president of the Olympic Committee of Russia Alexander Zhukov, nine-time Olympic champion Larisa Latynina, the famous footballer Bobby Charlton and many others. Money raised at the gala will go to charity.

    "I would like to focus attention on children from orphanages. I can't watch little kids without parent, not sharing a tear or two. I think in the near future will do it," - admitted the Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Alla Shishkin.

    "I want to point out that the athletes who for some reasons are machines for winning medals in the first place, are actually wonderful people. And such events, where it joins the high life and the sport is very important and useful. More such events the more we will know the athletes, and the better they will perform, "- said Alexander Zhukov during the official part of the ceremony.
